		<description>This was addresssed at our recent BOS meeting for the very reasons mentioned - we wanted to review the situation and see what, if any, options there were to alleviate the unexpected burden impossed by the DOR. Unfortunately, we have no authority to either override or set aside the bills, as these are state-mandated excise taxes based upon valuation and not under local control. Precisely why we invited Senator Timilty and Representative Barrows to our meeting, and why we are hopeful that Jay's efforts to legislate a solution will be successful. This was a DOR valuation error and affects all communities in the Commonwealth, not just Foxborough. Hopefully, the voices will be loud enough across the state to effect change . . .</description>
